Care-A-Lot Learning Center employs caring, qualified and trained teachers. All teachers continue their education by taking safety courses, such as First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease Management and Child Abuse Prevention Classes. They also attend workshops and conferences on the advances and changes in the field of Early Childhood Education. Here at Care-A-Lot, we work as a team and are all here to serve you and your child in any way possible. Julie Schmerge attended Lima Technical College where she earned her degree in Early Childhood Development and Education in 1985. She then founded Care-A-Lot and it is now in it's 35th year. She is the director of the center and also teaches Pre-Kindergarten classes. Julie and her husband, Leo, reside in Botkins and have four grown children. They are also proud grandparents to twins, Camden & Carly, and new baby boy, Cohen! Lori Boyd also received her degree in Early Childhood Development and Education from Lima Technical College in 1985. She too, teaches Pre-Kindergarten and has been a member of the Care-A-Lot teaching team since 1989. Lori is a vital part of our teaching team! Lori and her husband, Jon, have three grown children and three lovable grandchildren, Easton, Everett, and Evelyn. They have their home just outside of Botkins.
Miss J Julie Limbert received her degree in Early Childhood Development and Education from the University of Toledo in 2003. She teaches our preschool classes (3's & 4's). We feel blessed to have had her join Care-a-Lot in 2018. Julie lives in Minster with her husband, Scott and their daughter, Makaylee. Julie comes to us with a few years experience already as a preschool teacher. As having another Miss Julie could be quite confusing to the kids(and us teachers as well) we will be referring to her as Miss J. Miss Jeanne Miss Becky Becky Fullenkamp joined us in 2019 and this year you will see her around once in a while as a volunteer/aide. She will be an extra set of hands that we welcome as part of our team. I think Miss J will enjoy having her here as it is her mom! |
